Private Charles Frederick Crisp was one of the five sons of Mr and Mrs S. J. Crisp, of 12 Godwin Road Bromley, and one of three sons serving in his Majesty’s Forces.
After leaving school in Bromley, he joined the Territorials as a member of the Royal West Kent Regiment. He was reported as a prisoner of war in Germany in the Bromley & District Times newspaper on the 8th November 1940 (page 5).
His brothers were: John, Samuel, Ronald and Leonard.
